The godfather of boutique cigars, E.P. Carrillo, has been making the Short Run yearly since 2010, except for a short hiatus from 2017 to 2020. In 2021, he brought them back and has been creating new blends since, but this year’s release is unique to the rest in a very special way. Crafted in Oscar’s factory in Honduras, the Short Run 2023 uses an Ecuadorian Habano wrapper alongside a Honduran binder and Nicaraguan and Honduran fillers, some of which were sourced from Copan, the whole reason behind this atypical collaboration. Incredibly unique and just a touch over medium bodied, the Short Run 2023 brings with it notes of baking spice, saltiness, various nuts and a hint of earth.
