The Macanudo Emissary Espana was made for the complex and sophisticated cigar enjoyer. Using a five-country blend of tobaccos, including leaf from a very rare region, the Emissary Espana is one of the most tantalizing releases by Macanudo in recent years. The Emissary Espana begins with an American Broadleaf Claro wrapper leaf sitting atop a Nicaraguan binder from Condega, and a quartet of tobaccos from Nicaragua, the Dominican, Colombia, and Spain. The result is a cigar with complexity in every puff, with thick clouds of smoke eminating with notes of cedar, roasted nuts, espresso, caramel sweetness and white pepper. The Macanudo Emissary Espana has received a 90-point rating, with the review noting: "...kicks off with a rich note of tobacco intermingling with herbs, licorice, orange marmalade and sweet tea. The finish leaves a nutty aftertaste."
